@PowerMizzoucom The true respect I have for Brad Smith was at his senior year when Coach Pickel went to the spread offense. Mostly because quarterback Chase Daniel, who ran that offense high school was recruited to Missouri. It allowed the underclassman to learn the offense ahead of time.

Fans moaning that Veach isn't getting Pat any help. IMO, loading up on a fast, explosive defense is going to significantly reduce the pressure to score every drive and will improve field position through turnovers. With Pat coming off a significant injury, he needs an elite defense so that he doesn't have to take risks just to try to carry the entire game on his shoulders. Veach is literally helping Pat in the best way possible.

I have to give Fernando his flowers here. During yesterday’s event, amongst hundreds of people shouting off the top of their lungs to get his attention, an event usher informed him that this young fan wished to ask him a few questions before he addressed the crowd. With no hesitation, he makes a few moments for her, even with fans having waited hours to see him. Speaks to the person he is and I’m so thrilled to have a person of this character representing our team for the foreseeable future. Great job, Fernando!

@BHIndepMO Well, that would be a nice scenario, but with an impending lockout next year. Likely very few teams are gonna be interested in making deals for a wasted year.. the Royals could not have picked a worse time to be this dysfunctional.
