@LilyElement I totally get that. I'm a little burned out on cons for that reason. I have one local one this year coming up, but that's all I'm doing this year.

@RLNaquin Uh huh, I go to events like that locally and only pay like $50 or so since there isn't flight/hotel. I don't think I'd like having to work for free during the entire event too. I'll keep that one in my head though if I decide I want to just go to an event, not work it :D

@LilyElement It's all about getting time with readers and bloggers and authors. Lots of games and scheduled hanging-out time. Some of the bloggers were assigned authors to promote ahead of the event, too.

@RLNaquin I'm debating if it would be worth it price-wise. Looks like a flight would be around $450 or so then hotel on top of that and the fee to get in ~$100. If I'm one of the "featured bloggers" it sounds like I'd be working the event during panels and such too.

@CathyPegau Who has time for that? Smoothies are hands free. You can type and suck through a straw at the same time. "Artists" have ruined a perfect food.

I can't wrap my head around the idea of a smoothie bowl. If I wanted to use utensils, I'd have a bowl of fruit and skip the work of using a blender. Please explain.
