What they did to these women is probably never going to be made public, the sad part is our government still funds the Taliban knowing they carried out these atrocities against our female allies. A good friend of mine verified and documented the execution of 153 former female Afghan Security Forces by the Taliban. Many of them decapitated. 100s of other cases were handed over to the DoS. Nothing happened except using the sorrow of veterans for getting more votes

Reminder that there are suicide bomber camps inside Afghanistan solely for external operations. Meaning you train there and you leave. We know over 100 trained suicide bombers from inside these camps deployed to the U.S. and came over the southern border illegally thanks to assistance from the Sinaloa cartel. Now, a suicide bomber only has one purpose in life, to detonate. So our government better find them before they do as this is no longer an overseas problem. We stopped taking it to them there so they came here. Our government has not even hit one suicide bomber camp in Afghanistan in the last 5 years. Think about the thousands that have been trained in that time.

The #Ebola outbreak in DRC & Uganda has multiple concerning features. First, introduction of disease into capital cities like Kinshasa and Kampala can amplify spread quickly. This was analogous to 2014 spread amplified in Conakry, Guinea and Monrovia, Liberia. This is why many of us were concerned about Andes Virus importing into a big city as well— the dynamics & risk change immediately. Secondly, when you have new cases unlinked to a known case, you have runaway transmission chains. Tracing becomes exponentially more challenging. The number of confirmed and suspect cases tells us transmission has been ongoing undetected for some time, likely weeks. Third, the Ebola species here- Bundibugyo- has only caused 2 outbreaks before. It is immunologically different enough from the Zaire species (for which we have monoclonal antibodies & vaccines) such that we really don’t have any effective approved interventions at this time.
