I recall myself & a so-called friend sparring with massive oversized gloves on a bouncy castle, it was about 5 minutes afterwards I noticed my head was pounding from the inside out & it was like this for a few minutes. I'm fairly sure we wore no head protection, a few months later I asked him if he took that sparring session seriously for which he said yes. I took it as mucking around, needless to say he was a very odd person & I believe he has alot of issues. Point is even with these huge gloves I still felt it but only noticed it later.
