Who and who benefited from the money? Can the Osun State government point out projects embarked on in both Atakunmosa East and Atakunmosa West Local Government Areas through the 13% DERIVATION earned from the Gold mining? These local government areas don’t have; Good water Good road network Good schools Good health centers Stable power supply As we’re talking and criticizing of Niger Delta politicians mismanagement of 13% derivation on crude oil, we should talk about huge percentage Osun state government earning from Gold mining too. Yesterday in Ikire, myself and my wife, Dr. Sekinat Bola Oyebamiji joined the Ansarudeen Society of Nigeria, Ikire branch in their annual end-of-the-year prayer session. This annual event has become a rallying point where Muslim faithful appreciate the Almighty Allah for His blessings in the outgoing year and seek His favour and guidance in the new year. However, this year's edition is very significant to us, especially as we prepare for the August 8, 2026 Osun State governorship election. Consequently, I have committed everything into the hands of God and remain confident in His guidance and grace. I sincerely appreciate the people of Osun State, particularly the good people of Irewole and Isokan, for the massive turnout and warm reception accorded me and my family. I am also grateful to our revered Royal Fathers: the Akire of Ikire, Oba Olatunde Falabi, Lambeloye III, and the Alapomu of Apomu, Oba Kayode Afolabi, for their royal blessings and assurances of support across Irewole, Isokan and Ayedaade Federal Constituency. Regarding the hostile attitude of the state government towards our party, particularly as it affects political activities in the state, I remain focused and undistracted, knowing that the true decision of the people will prevail. My commitment is to lead with humility, strengthen our party, and work tirelessly to return the APC to government in Osun State. Today, I presented my Certificate of Return from the All Progressives Congress to my Royal Fathers; the Akire of Ikire, Oba Olatunde Falabi Lambeloye III and the Alapomu of Apomu, Oba Kayode Adenekan Afolabi as their son who has emerged as the candidate of the APC in the 2026 governorship election in Osun. The visits to the Royal Fathers were not merely political; they were moments of gratitude and humility. Ikire is my home, and Apomu remains a home to every Ikire sons and daughters. Therefore, receiving the royal blessings of our revered monarchs affirms the deep cultural bond between our communities and strengthens my resolve to continue to serve with responsibility and honour. Once again, I appreciate the leadership and members of the APC for the confidence reposed in me through a transparent primary process. With the prayers, guidance, and support of our royal fathers and our people, I am committed to pursuing a campaign anchored on unity, peace, and purposeful leadership.

Today, our party stood in unison to affirm my emergence as the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (@OfficialAPCNg) for the 2026 Osun State governorship election. I give all glory to Almighty Allah for His guidance and mercy throughout this journey. The rigorous process towards the emergence of our flagbearer for Osun 2026 clearly demonstrates the party’s determination to present a competent, experienced and development-focused candidate to the people of Osun State. At every stage, our central objective has been consistent to restore credibility to governance, rebuild public institutions and chart a future that reflects the true potential of our state. Returning to my country home in Ikire and witnessing the overwhelming love and support from the good people of Irewole and Isokan Loca Government Areas was a moment I will never forget. From Ikire to Ikoyi and Apomu, the atmosphere was electric; filled with songs, solidarity, and hope. It was not just a political gathering; it was a reaffirmation of faith in our shared vision for a better, stronger, and more prosperous Osun state. To every man, woman, and youth who came out to welcome us, I say a heartfelt thank you. Your warmth and enthusiasm reaffirm my conviction that our people are ready for leadership that is purposeful, competent, and accountable. I am equally encouraged by the decision of former members of the opposition party who joined our progressive family today. This bold move symbolizes a collective desire for renewal and unity that define our movement. As I continue the consultation across the state, I do so with renewed strength, inspired by the faith of our people and guided by our common dream. I also use the opportunity to urge every eligible voter to continue mobilizing for the registration of their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC). I remain proud of the privilege of serving under his guidance as Commissioner for Finance, and currently Managing Director, National Inland Waterways Authority NIWA, an agency under his supervision, where I witnessed firsthand his prudence and uncommon wisdom and qualities that continue to define his leadership.
