Had an incredible meeting with the wonderful team @Riversdale1801 today about the future of the park at Lafayette and Tuckerman. We have agreed to collaborate and move forward in naming and dedicating the park after Adam Francis Plummer, enslaved at Riversdale, and his family!

I want the bridge and pedestrian pathway on Riverdale Road fast tracked for completion. We need fences protecting students similar to @CollegePark_MD along Riverdale Road. We need traffic restrictions around @PGCPS_RES. The status quo cannot be accepted.

I'm devastated by the loss of two Prince George's County elementary schoolers who were struck while walking to school yesterday morning. It's crucial that we embrace these families and the Riverdale community with love and support during this time. washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2023/…

Tragically, at approximately 8:00 a.m. this morning, two children were struck by a vehicle as they walked to Riverdale Elementary School. Both children died in this accident. The driver stayed at the scene.
