The demise of Texas Tech has been greatly overstated. They have now landed 3 Four star commits in less than a week. That would be the best recruiting week by far for any other big 12 program in awhile.

Now that enough time has passed, I think it’s fair to say #TexasTech and Brendan Sorsby were both victims in this entire ordeal. Sorsby was surrounded by a sports media landscape that normalizes gambling and constantly pushes athletes toward chasing the biggest payday possible. Cincinnati knew exactly what was happening and conveniently let Texas Tech take the public blame while keeping its own hands clean. Meanwhile, Texas Tech followed every legal avenue available, worked with Sorsby throughout the process, and didn’t hide a thing. Funny how the school that was transparent became the villain while the school that stayed quiet escaped scrutiny. The more details that come out, the harder it is to argue otherwise. Some fanbases don’t want to hear it, but that doesn’t make it any less true.

@Kymyson @RPeachey86 If I’m not mistaken. Tech added 8 transfers last offseason. AFTER Glasco had already coached for a season and made it to the national championship. To my count, Texas brought in 3 transfers. Not really the same.

I’m assuming Texas fans are upset about this since it’s all about building your team and not about the money and transfers.
