Another Pirate going to play at the next level. Congratulations to Rees Heigle on his signing to Mount St. Mary’s to continue his Academic and Athletic career. Pirates Proud!!!
Heigle and Perry lead the Pirates over Lakewood 3-2 in 9 innings. River walked it off in the bottom of the 9th on Brady Patsouras’s single. Patsouras led the offense with 2 hits and 2 RBI’s. Griffin Hill, & Matt Gutia also had 2 hits. The Pirates now 3-2 (1-0).
Great team win today to even our record at 2-2 beating a really good Avon team 11-4. Elliot Hibshman went 3 for 3, 3 runs, scored 2 SB's , & 2 RBI's to lead the offense. Henry Tovissi 2 hits & 2 RBI's. Jack Powe also had 2 hits. Andrew Locsei got the win on the mound.
River varsity gets first win of the season with a 7-1 win over Lorain Titans. Mike Perry throws a 1 hit complete game with 15 strikeouts to lead the Pirates. Griffin Hill & Josh Mommers had 2 hits apiece, while Kristofer Johnson had 2 RBI's to lead the offense.
