Calling Norman Dale. Maybe in the second half Brad Underwood can conceive of an offense other than Wagler dribbling the ball at the top of the key for 15 seconds and then deciding which of two stationary screens to drive off of or pop a 25-footer. Any other offensive options on the court? Pass the ball and find out. On D how about helping and recovering on the perimeter screens to cut down on open looks making mediocre perimeter shooters (other than Karaban) look like Ray Allen. WTF. @IlliniMBB @UConnMBB

I’ve always had a hard time analyzing basketball. It’s a blur. So, yeah, the shooting seemed to be the thing. I read a few stories about the game after I watched it, and I saw only one veiled comment questioning the coaching. But that doesn’t mean Dan’s assessment is inaccurate.
