The other day someone told someone that I care too much about onboarding for Quirkies One thing I’ve learned No matter what you do You will have at-least one person that doesn’t agree You have to have real focus, real conviction, real belief in your target, in your goals in this space Some owners, founders, leaders don’t even answer their DMs from their most loyal holders… I see people pushing brands on X every day and are like over the moon when they get a follow after two years. Tbh it’s a joke. Most projects have 500 active peopl day to day… If you can’t get in the trenches and communicate, answer DMs, help onboard… you better be shipping ever single day Tbh, I work my butt off for Quirkies I split my time in 4 places 1 - holder relationships 2 - onboarding, raising awareness with new potential holders 3 - building tech, deliverables, managing operations, planning activations, strategy on holder benefits 4 - talking to vendors; following up, communicating with team and advisors, managing Shopify, quality control I dm hundreds of people a month, encouraging them to check out Quirkies or join us… Why ?! Because the space is noisy. We need to be relevant, we need to remind people we’re here. I don’t pay KOLs or alpha callers, never have, never will. I’m here to build. If you don’t like it, don’t join. It’s ok. I’m never gonna stop sharing Quirks… this is a real passion project for me… not a money game If you don’t like ownership in the trenches, you’re not aligned with our vision and that’s ok. Something really cool just happened I’m here in Texas with my wife’s side of the family for her cousins wedding About 20 of us staying in the same house This morning I come down to a room full of the family eating breakfast and drinking coffee wearing my Quirk Life Wild Life hoodie and OG Sweat Pants and someone starts asking questions, soon everyone is listening or involved A few of them were like, we want to order right now so I made them a family discount and they started shopping @TheQuirkLife I also found out that her cousins kids wear their Quirk Life stuff all the time, have the stickers on their iPads and love the brand, they want me to bring Quirkies to Roblox 🤣 I told them let me work harder My wife’s two older Uncles and Aunt were super intrigued to learn more so I grabbed my laptop and started showing them the characters, the websites, some of the animation studio stuff we’re working on and QuirKids “This is so cool” “I can see this on tv” Not fake love, the genuinely liked it Two NYPD fitness addicts and one Uncle about 65 and retired. This is the cool part about Quirkies. In one house… black/white and latino, huge age range… old and young male and female. From day one I could see this as a family brand, a brand adults could rock WITH their kids. You don’t find that too often. Natural and accidental case studies are the most genuine. No talk about ETH or floor price, they don’t even care… just enjoyment of a brand people get, connect with, want. I feel more motivated than ever 💯 A brand the world will know.
