โ€œIf Asake didnโ€™t have YBNL structure, he wouldnโ€™t get to where he is today. Artistes make mistakes and think they donโ€™t need structure. Think of artistes that have left Don Jazzy, they are not where they used to beโ€ โ€” Dayo D1

@yabaleftonline Artist talent alone isnโ€™t always enough having the right team, guidance, and platform can make or break an artistโ€™s career. Leaving a strong label without a plan often comes with risks. Ask lyta ๐Ÿ˜‚

@yabaleftonline I would say before an artist leave a structure, they need proper plans and a good team on standby to do the things the record label was doing for them and even more! They shouldnโ€™t relent because theyโ€™re independent, most artists that left the so called structure become lazy.

@yabaleftonline They all want to rush the process, they feel it takes too long. And while they might be one or two lucky ones, statistics show that being in a structured environment is very important for artistes

@yabaleftonline Structure doesnโ€™t make stars โ€” it reveals them. Plenty left โ€œstructureโ€ and fadedโ€ฆ not because they left, but because they were the structure. Some artists arenโ€™t independent โ€” theyโ€™re unsupported.

Dayo D1 has a point sha, structure matters a lot in this industry, distribution, promo, connections, all that backend stuff labels like YBNL and Mavin provide can launch you fast. Asake blew up crazy quick because of Olamide's platform, no cap. But let's keep it real: plenty artists leave and still thrive or even level up. Wizkid left EME and became a global king, Kizz Daniel fought G-Worldwide, went independent and still drops hits consistently. Tiwa Savage left Mavin, signed big deals abroad and her career didn't crash. Even Asake himself left YBNL (bought out his contract around 2025), signed with Gamma/Empire or whatever new distro, launched his own thing, and he's still packing arenas and charting, no signs of "falling off" yet. Some do struggle after leaving (Reekado, Crayon, a few others quiet now), but it's not automatic "you go die". Depends on if the artist has real talent, good team, business sense, and luck. Not every label exit is a mistake, sometimes it's the next smart move.

If e easy, blow from your house. The structure is the springboard, the pillar, the ground that produces the room to see a bigger picture. If you eventually found it and decide to run it your way, you will still need a structured distribution company. You canโ€™t do it by yourself. You can say itโ€™s a symbiotic relationship, fair but if e easy, run am yourself make you know how far

This is the kind of industry talk that quietly insults the artistโ€™s own talent. Asake did not become Asake because of structure alone. He blew because he is gifted, distinct, and impossible to ignore. Label structure can amplify you, yes, but it cannot manufacture that kind of star power.

You can have attention and still lack direction. The system will always invest heavily in a select few. You need management, and yes youโ€™re free to change management. Youโ€™re not trapped like artists used to be. Sign favorable deals. Involve your lawyer. Understand what youโ€™re getting into. And if you blow instantly, accept it with humility. Itโ€™s not only your grace carrying you. Donโ€™t let greed scatter your foundation, then come online looking for sympathy. People like @iamDo2dtun have seen this game from the ground up and when they speak on structure, it aligns with what I know from experience. #BillyDJ

This is what I mean when I say producers are the original A&Rs just the way sky bisons are to airbenders I don't think there's a lot of producers that can do what this kid is doing here. Any A-lister would actually want to work with him

A solid hack for getting more high ticket clients as a producer Post that BTS..and in that BTS make sure you are really positioning yourself as a music director not just someone who understands DAWs and how to use them Just saw a video of a kid running this p..Too mad๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ
