DRRAA public hearing on status of hunger and food insecurity in Delhi. Hundreds of people joined, including unorganised sector workers, construction labourers, domestic workers to share the challenges being faced by them in ensuring adequate food & nutrition for their families.

No ration distribution at nearly 85% centres checked yesterday, as stock of #ration exhausted. People without #rationcard being turned away empty handed. Volunteers checked 70 of the 282 designated centres. #Hunger #Delhi

32 out of 41 centres that DRRAA volunteers checked on July 1 had exhausted their stock of ration. People without ration cards in need of food assistance were turned away empty handed. In some places, no stock for last 7-8 days.

66% centres checked yesterday had no stock of ration. As per Delhi govt policy people w/o ration cards (migrant/informal workers, daily wagers) can get grains from selected schools. Ground reports show stock over in most places. Harkesh Nagar School video- no stock for last 3days
