If you’re willing to, there’s an art residency starting tomorrow for Colombian artists with the @WaitHopeFound foundation. It goes for the next 8 weeks - meeting once on Sundays. Could be a good escape to just drop in and share your artist and builder view? I was a previous resident and felt rejuvenated after each session. Nothing like it, especially when dealing with … well - loss. Helps recalibrate / sharpen / heal your creative juices. They’ve had some amazing speakers and mentorship. And then there’s events like being in Florence again next year for an Irl meetup… @Sinbadilmarino et al would prolly love to show you around. Either way, hope the summer provides a wellness break. Enjoyed Zapper and your efforts in the space, hoping something helps recenter / inspire / align future endeavors.

This panel happened during Rome New Media festival, organized by Luca Martinelli. Eleonora Brizi interviewing three people who actually build in web3, collectors and community leaders, about why we collect and what supporting artists means in practice. See next three videos and tags in the comments. I was there to listen. And I recognized my own thinking in most of what was said. It brought a lot back. The first pieces I collected in 2021. And the VERY IMPORTANT FACT that I am still on the same wallets from the beginning, across ETH, Polygon, Base, Tezos and many others and BTC with one of my best photographs inscribed as a very early ordinal. This is the part people outside web3 miss. A wallet is public. Anyone can read it. What I collected, when I started, how long I stayed, it is all there, on chain, impossible to fake. My wallets are the proof of my presence. Six years of it. And believe me, who knows how to read will read an entire SAGA. I collect as much as I make. Around 15,000 NFTs on ETH, Base and Polygon (10,478 unique nfts and the rest doubles or triples till 15,000). Around 3,000 on Tezos (in two wallets). I started from curiosity, then I wanted to support, then slowly I learned. Am I a real COLLECTOR? Probably not. I am an ARTIST FIRST, twenty years of career, and now I collect less and I collect different because I have learned more. And is not only about collecting, there you can see interactions with people and institutions. Is MY JOURNEY. I am very proud of myself that I have been here since the beginning and I never fell, even if I passed through many storms. The proof is not something I have to say. Anyone can check it. Super happy to meet everyone in real life, and to meet again some I knew before.
