According to the CDC, one out of 5 fall causes serious injuries. There are many elements within the home that can contribute to a fall. To address fall prevention, RTS has partnered with King County to install grab bars in our neighbor's homes to make them safer!💡🛠

In honor of Earth Day, let’s talk about air quality and its effects. Having access to clean air and water is important to maintaining our health. That’s why RTS includes ventilation in our healthy housing priorities. Healthy Earth = healthy house = healthy homeowners🌎🏡💨💚

Do you have a fire extinguisher and escape route in case of a fire? This NRM, we encourage everyone to take action and evaluate your own home on fire safety and prevention. We partner with the SFD to conduct fire safety assessments in Seattle to ensure (fire) safe homes🧯

You can’t put a price on love. But we can attribute a monetary value to our work that showcases the community benefit of our services. In 2021, we provided over a quarter million dollars of value to our neighbors: $253,517. We're excited to see what we’ll do together in 2022! 💚

Together, we completed 104 projects in 2021! 🛠 92 smaller-scale Safe At Home projects, 11 larger-scale Team Build & National Rebuilding Month projects, and 1 mid-scale Open Volunteer Day project. No matter the size, each project made a positive difference for our neighbors! 💚

Another thing to celebrate from 2021 is the amazing work of the 360 volunteers who donated their time and talents! These [Re]Builders contributed a combined 5,820 hours to helping their neighbors! 🤩 That's a whole lotta hours, and a whole lotta love! 💚 Thank you volunteers!

As we start a new year, we're looking back at what we did together in 2021 and celebrating our accomplishments. This past year we reached 98 households 🏠 with our services, impacting the lives of 136 neighbors (including seniors, veterans, and children)! 💚
