Last month, Associate Professor Colette Langos convened a symposium at the University of Nottingham titled: Sustainability in Defence Procurement: A Comparative Regulatory Perspective. This event marked the first in a robust and growing partnership between the two law schools!

RUMLAE Director Professor Dale Stephens recently met with representatives of the US State Department, Mr Matthew Steinhelfer, Ms Oznur Alturk and Mr Jacob Goldschlager, who were undertaking a broader visit to the university facilitated by the UofA DSI Director Prof. Michael Webb.

RUMLAE member Professor Matthew Stubbs has spent the Michaelmas Term as a Research Visitor at the Bonavero Institute of Human Rights at the University of Oxford. He has been working on a project asking – 'Are Human Rights Relevant to a Blockade?'

In November 2024, RUMLAE welcomed Professor Sigmund Simonsen from Western Norway University as a Visiting Scholar to Adelaide Law School. Professor Simonsen is working with RUMLAE members Professor Dale Stephens and Professor Matthew Stubbs on the San Remo Manual update.

RUMLAE Board member, Dr Kellie Toole’s book 'Prosecuting Crime in the Public Interest' has just been released by Hart Publishing. The book is an updated extension of her PhD thesis on independence and accountability in executive decision-making.

RUMLAE Director Professor Dale Stephens recently attended the US Indo-Pacific Military Law and Operations Conference in Manila. The theme of the conference was 'The Future of the Indo-Pacific: Partnering to Defend Sovereignty'.
