This is 100% a true story. Yesterday I was speaking with a friend of mine who works in risk analysis. We talk regularly about finance, stocks, markets, and crypto always comes up. The problem is he is completely anti-crypto. So I mentioned Canton Network. His reaction was exactly what you would expect. “Another crypto project. They are all the same. No real value.” To him, crypto is just hype and speculation. Sometimes he even calls it a scam. So I started explaining what Canton is actually building and who they are working with. He didn’t believe me. He said, “Show me the evidence.” So while we were still on the phone, I quickly searched Google for partnership announcements and news articles and sent the links to him on WhatsApp. He started reading them while we were still on the call. Even while reading he kept saying things like: “Are these fake articles?” But then he started noticing the reputable sources. That is when everything changed. The whole tone of the conversation shifted. He started asking questions. You could hear the curiosity kick in. He even started doing his own research while we were still on the phone. There were long pauses in the call because he was reading and digging deeper. About 30 minutes after I first mentioned Canton Network, he asked me: “How do I buy $CC?” Luckily for him, eToro recently added CC to their platform, so I suggested he use that. He is not really familiar with the mainstream crypto exchanges. By the end of that same phone call, he had bought 100,000 CC. Three days later we spoke again. His first question was: “Is 100,000 CC enough? Should I buy more? What do you think the price will be?” In 8 years in crypto, Canton has been the easiest project to convince someone to invest in. When people actually understand what is being built and who is involved, everything changes.
