I guess we’ll find out which one of us is right but instead of Twitter it will be a real life person that may die.

I am 100% for “my body, my choice” until the situation includes another life with unique DNA. That changes everything.

@BKsquadx5 @Snowden I agree with all this. Very fair and things I don’t love and watch for. This just feels like a far cry from it. It’s just large group, past data that is anonymous for a group that tracks human response to a pandemic to predict future ones. It’s reasonable.

@RWJ83 @Snowden You may be right but this is the same govt that has locked up a group of citizens and took their stuff/property because a country where they descended from bombed us and the Supreme Court actually said it was okay. Then the Patriot Act. Etc. I don’t think it is a rule of thumb.

I think the leak is just to distract us all from this crap. Unreal if true.

@ms_tryl @jenresisted @SouthernKeeks Please point to an example where ectopic pregnancies are being legislated. Just one state? What has happened to the women who had the ectopic pregnancy and had the surgery? Was she arrested? Fined?

@BKsquadx5 @Snowden Well I agree with that but I think it’s case by case. It’s a grey area not a sweeping rule of thumb.

@RWJ83 @Snowden Well we allowed it before. If the govt convinces us it’s for our protection, we have a history of allowing rights to be trampled or look the other way.

@BKsquadx5 @Snowden That’s fair but I don’t think the American mindset would allow it tbh. Not saying we shouldn’t watch out for it but this isn’t worrying to me yet.

@RWJ83 @Snowden It’s not that same level but what prevents them from testing to see if anyone thinks it’s acceptable and then ramping it up later after they perfected it.

@BKsquadx5 The CDC doesn’t have the budget to take a mile. So we are good there. Also, what are they going to do with it? No one would allow any true big brother stuff to happen. This data is there how would you propose we stop it? Just seems like a distraction from real things

@RWJ83 Well that’s why I said if true… But history shows when you give our govt an inch, they will take a mile. And while it may not have been that data broker that did it, it’s clear a data broker has been involved in people being fired for going to places that employers don’t like.

@BKsquadx5 That accusation is a *maybe* and so it’s not a good argument until we know. Further, they are buying group data to make better epidemiological predictions. That is a far cry tracking individual citizens. Also, I doubt Google decision is b/c they are shady but for $ reasons

@RWJ83 A govt agency paying for something to track citizens without their knowledge that even google won’t work w/ seems, at minimum, more than a non-issue especially when this company has been accused of leaking information that have led to people being fired for places they have went
