Another thing about high notes that helped me earlier this season, when I debuted Thaïs!

Competitions can be a great way to gain exposure in this industry! Doing @operaliacomp was certainly a huge boost to my career!

How you start and end a phrase is important for your vocal health and artistry! I focused on my cut-offs when I was on tour last summer with a really intense schedule, and it certainly helped me maintain my vocal health!

I love giving my all to portray the physicality of a character - in this case Violetta - even when it means finding a way to adapt elements of my technique to new challenges!

I can’t wait to tell this woman’s story for our final performance tonight at the @rbo_org …and already missing this beautiful production and Verdi’s music! Good thing I get a chance to tell this story again in May at Staatstheater Wiesbaden !

Love is what we all want, and “La Traviata” is all about that. Even though the details of our stories might be different, I think we can all relate to this need and the beauty or heartbreak that it can bring.

La Traviata tonight at the @rbo_org ! Always happy to sing Violetta, and relive her kindness and love through Verdi’s epic score. This was captured a few Violettas ago at LA Opera…feeling lucky to sing this role around the world. 💕

Guys, Rosalinde goes pretty high, so in my dressing room at the Bayerische Staatsoper, I was all about this exercise to warm-up my upper register! I hope it is helpful to you for whatever you are preparing! 💕
