I've never trusted James Harden in Game 7s. Tonight: 3-9 and 1-5 from 3. But tonight Donovan Mitchell and Jared Allen and Merrill and Strus took him along for a victorious ride.

@LarsBergenson @Cavs_Enthusiast Exactly lol. I’m but a big +/- guy (it’s a flawed stat) but it does matter age at age 37 to he doing the little things that are positively impacting the game, even when the shot isn’t falling, is impressive

I know box score isn’t everything but there’s only 3 guys with a positive +/- with Harden having the highest at +11

I’m not blaming the loss on James Harden, but games like yesterday is why I was always skeptical of the trade. I’m not saying DG would’ve did better last night, but Harden tends to disappear in big playoff games when we need him the most and that not unfair criticism.

James Harden could’ve been more efficient but in Game 6: - He played awesome defense (led to runs for Cleveland) - Created open looks (but Dean Wade missed like 4 open threes) 16/9/9 with 2 steals and 1 block. +11 with him on. He played 44 minutes. How is he getting blame?

James Harden played all but 9 minutes of GM6. Without him, the Cavs were outscored by 13, with an offensive rating of 78.6. Harden is doing exactly what we wanted (solidify the non-Don mins) and Mitchell hasn’t been remotely close to holding up his end.

@OkeezieSportsPT @RedNinetyFour I guess I should clarify I didn’t mean all off game 3 but just that moment. Which was admittedly one of the biggest brain lapse moments I’ve seen, I was more referring to how he typically shows up big in moments and that moment was the exception

@RWeir7 @RedNinetyFour He was the best player on the team in Game 3. He made a bad pass and all hell broke loose after. Jabari, Reed, Tate, and Sengun share the end of that disaster together.

Shout out to Bari man. I’ve been one of his biggest haters. Second year in a row that he’s absolutely risen to the occasion in the playoffs and shown what he’s made of. Also, something I’ve loved watching are the Alpi-Bari interactions both on-court and on the sidelines. Who can forget how much these 19 year olds constantly bickered in Bari’s rookie season about blown defensive coverages etc. Now they’re just picking each other up.

Imagine if Houston hadn’t absolutely crapped their pants at the end of game 3.
