It looks like the Blackhawks are moving on from Ilya Mikheyev… So why didn’t they deal him at the deadline?

This is not about money at all. Mikheyev, who will be 32 when the season begins, is looking to sign a longer-term contract than the Hawks are willing to offer. They have all the cap space in the world.
