First Team Result D and D 0 Youthie 4 Another win today in the torrential rain at Groves Road Layton Ballard scored early on and we got a second when Brodie Culshaw hit the bar from 20 yards and the ball rebounded off the keeper and over the line A Tom Hall double in the second half sealed the win over a battling but very weak D and D side who had a man sent off to finish with ten men The Douglas lads have had a tough time recently and are still looking for their first league win in almost two years but still keep battling away All the best to them for the rest of the season

Goal of the day today for Ross Crawford with the equaliser

Today’s man of the match Dan Callow Odge Blaker was very good on his comeback, Ross Crawford scored a goal of the season contender and Cam Parsons was impressive when he came on but Dan was solid defensively throughput and got forward to good effect in the second half when we were looking for a goal

Tom Hall with the third after late breakaway and a couple of saves from the keeper who had a good game for Governors

Odge Blaker with the second goal that put us 2-1 up from Tony Corlett’s free kick

Youthie with the first win of the season in the rain at Lezayre Road Govs went 1-0 up in a scrappy first half and held that lead until half time Youthie changed formation second half and had more possession before Ross Crawford fired a 20 yard volley screaming into the top corner to equalise We then dominated the game and created a few good chances and eventually went ahead through a good Odge Blaker finish from Tony Corlett’s free kick Sub Cam Parsons saw a lot of the ball and was looking good pushing us forward and eventually Tom Hall got the clincher to make it 3-1 from a late breakaway
