I'm really looking forward to hosting @R_Austen this evening at 6pm UK time for our free August webinar. Ross will be exploring the topic of functional and effective breathing for health and performance. Come and join us if you're free at that time. #sportsnutrition

@omerozener Awesome stuff @omerozener Cold water is stressful for the body hence the increase. It is pretty fascinating stuff though hey.

Today I embark on a self imposed 2 week review of what my food and lifestyle choices do to my blood sugar levels. An important factor to prevent diabetes, heart disease, stroke, kidney disease, vision and nerve problems.

@MarkTallonPhD @BBCBreakfast I would like to catch up on that! Interesting question @MarkTallonPhD Unsure if the risk factors are offset more work would be required to understand that further. Inflammation goes hand in hand with CVD and we know CWI has a positive impact on inflammation.

Watching @BBCBreakfast and #wimhof would be interesting to see a full physical done as quite a bit of abdominal fat. Good evidence for abdominal visceral fat and CVD. Is that risk factor offset from cold water immersion (CWI)? @R_Austen

The result of a Big Mac meal @McDonalds Blood sugar went from 5.7 to 9.7 mmol/L I had a biphasic response which is interestingly associated with: Lower BMI Lower glucose levels Higher insulin sensitvity Lower rates of impaired glucose tolerance and metabolic syndrome
