Long post but I need to say this. I've been laughed at and called delusional for pointing it out, but after years of following KR forums, the sheer amount of targeted anti fans against Eunwoo is completely abnormal. He's been the victim of prejudice and echo chambers for years, and it completely spiraled after True Beauty. It's reached a point where knetz are terrified to praise his acting online because anti-fans will instantly swarm and attack them. Since casual viewers aren't stans, they obviously don't want to waste their time and energy fighting, so they just roll their eyes and move on, but are always seated for his next work. The biggest illusion is the forums themselves. Eunwoo's k-fans are mostly on DC, and many are relatively new fans, so the damage had already been done. They're sweet and most keep to themselves, although all of them worked tirelessly in Naver and youtube comments the past 4 months correcting the misinformation about the tax info that was spreading. He doesn't have an organized fanbase on TheQoo, Instiz, or NatePann. The exact 3 forums that Pannchoa and Koreaboo hyper focus on. Those forums are NOT GP. They are highly concentrated echo chambers of kpop and kdrama fans (and according to me, entertainment company employees/3rd party PR teams). If you search on X, there’s always people selling TheQoo logins, and of course accounts that have permissions to post comments in Square are worth much more, because not everyone on that site is able to comment. Domestic media outlets and Intl media outlets use these 3 toxic echo chambers and pretend they represent "real Korean opinion" when they absolutely do not. The double standards are exhausting. Saying he's good publicly is completely forbidden and only "he's improved" is tolerated (sometimes.) People pick apart his performances without ever using actual clips (or clips from 10 years ago), and Intl kdrama stans constantly drag his name unprovoked just for a hit tweet. Anti-fans push the narrative that he's "untalented and just a face" yet he consistently ranks on Gallup Korea and Govt led Intl favorite actor polls. If it's "only because of his face" then why is everyone else on those lists too? Intl kdrama stans worship knet opinion (idc if you say you don’t, you know so many do) and wait for Pannchoa to translate negative hot topics just to know how to react to things. There could be 3 hot topics about his acting, 2 positive and 1 neg, and Pannchoa will ALWAYS translate the negative one. Ironically, since these forums are ignoring TWF and not making hot topics about it AND his drama is finally released worldwide at the same time, Intl kdrama fan opinion now mirrors how his performances have always been viewed by critics and casual viewers. This is exactly why forming our own opinions is so important!!!! Anyway, Cha Eunwoo's performance in The WONDERfools was AMAZING! Just like I think his performance was amazing in all his previous roles. Actor Cha Eunwoo made me his fan, not model Cha Eunwoo.

I’m really, really grateful to people like GD and Arden who supported eunwoo during that situation, but honestly I can’t blame his other friends if it had been someone else instead of eunwoo in that situation, i would’ve preferred eunwoo not to get involved either too
