To elaborate even further, the line of storms is generally weakening, but still plenty of storm fuel out there to keep these things robust. It's April after all, so we don't let our guard down on incoming storms. Hail possible, but odds are you won't see any. Tornado parameters not as favorable as last night, but we'll be pay attention anyway. Additional storms later tonight should be sub-severe.

@NashSevereWx during your live you mentioned that the storm may brake up into smaller storms. is that looking like whats happening as we get closer to the main line?
English

@NashSevereWx so will yawl be going live at any point before a warning just to talk about the updates like you did at 6pm?
English

Because we don't withhold information, we'll pass along that SPC has nudged the hatched area eastward and now includes us. This hatching is used to indicate where there's a slightly higher risk of EF-2+ tornadoes. This does not affect our messaging at all. The forecast still is what it is. Have 2+ more ways to get warnings overnight and be ready to act.

@AmyBenedict2017 @NashSevereWx only the red spots are bad i thought
English

@NashSevereWx It’s the bundle of doom behind the line that looks concerning 👀
English

@NashSevereWx yall are typically good at pinpointing the severity of these types of storms. Would you say you have “anxiety” at all for this one?
English

@NashSevereWx This is amazing new knowledge. Heard a boom just turns out tree in the backyard fell.
English

If you hear of reports of loud "booms," it may be cryoseismic activity aka frost quakes. If you're new to the area, don't worry, they're harmless. These occur when liquid water quickly freezes and expands in the soil or bedrock. We have an ideal setup for this given the amount of runoff we had during the winter storm and the very cold temperatures in place now. -NWS Nashville
Nah@RobinHammer6
@NashSevereWx was there an earthquake or tremor near Nashville?
English

@NashSevereWx my power has finally came back on (old hickory). NES should have this area back up and running in full soon I imagine. Thx for everything yall do!!
English

@NashSevereWx Oh captain my captain will we still be getting some snow at the tail end of this or are we almost done with it all?
Also you guys are amazing and deserve an award 🥇

NWS Nashville: "Wind gusts between 15-25 mph will be likely today and through most of the day tomorrow. These winds will exacerbate trees and powerlines that are weighed down with ice. Coupling this with a big drop in temperatures tonight means a flash freeze will be possible. Any areas of slush or partial melting that may occur today will rapidly re-freeze tonight, so please use extreme caution. Travel is discouraged as road conditions will remain treacherous."
English

@NashSevereWx Still have power in Madison, but flickering. Trees in about 1/4" of ice, 1-1 1/2" branches falling.

English

@NashSevereWx I’m hearing a transformer humming pretty bad and it sounds like it’s 2 feet outside my window
English

This will be an ice storm we remember for a while.
Seth Schaeffer@sschaeffermusic
@NashSevereWx A different kind of thunder and lightning.
English

@NashSevereWx so the rain that i am hearing outside is the freezing rain we all wanted to avoid?
English

@NashSevereWx So you think it would be safe to travel from Texas to Spring Hill on Monday? :))
English

NEW: Cold Weather Advisory will go into effect Sunday night at midnight and expire at noon Tuesday. NWS: "Very cold wind chills as low as 0 to 10 below expected. The cold wind chills as low as 10 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves."
English

@NashSevereWx -10 wind chill?!?!? ok so any frozen rain will make everything much much worse with this cold coming in
