A friend of mine went to a gynaecologist yesterday in Dublin to see if she has endometriosis and he told her that it’s now “trendy” to have endometriosis. 🫠🫠

I had a hysterectomy at the end of 2023 and 2024 was the first year in about 15 years where I didn’t have to be hospitalised because of severe pain, and I didn’t have to take any prescription painkillers.

Gisèle Pelicot is on the stand today and asked about her decision to continue using the surname "Pelicot". Gisèle explains that when the trial began her children were "ashamed" of the name. This has started doing the rounds again so time for an update. I’m 11 months post hysterectomy after flying to the UK to have it done. The recovery was rough but by the end of January I was fully recovered and have had absolutely no pelvic pain since. I got my life back 💖

The vindication I feel right now.

@Anaemic_Royalty I still ovulate and sometimes get some small cramps around ovulation but nowhere near as bad as before. Before the hysterectomy I would always breakout around ovulation which still happens. So I think the cycle stays the same except I just don’t bleed anymore.

@Anaemic_Royalty Before the hysterectomy I did a six month induced menopause and aside from a few hot flushes it was okay, no crazy hormonal side effects!

@Anaemic_Royalty I’m not sure if this helps but I had a hysterectomy last November for endo, but I kept my ovaries so no menopause. Aside from the first two months being rough recovery wise I’ve gotten my life back and have no pain.

I had to have a hysterectomy last year due to severe endometriosis and adenomyosis. How long until JK Rowling & co insist I’m not a woman because I don’t have a womb.
