The queues were not a surprise but is there any truth to the rumour the turnstiles didn’t open as advertised and because stadium staff hadn’t turned up on time, John? As to some of the issues, the lack of a seat for certain fans because of a town still being taken by a camera is not acceptable but a mistake that can happen. The toilets is the one that HAS to be sorted. I think it’s the minimum that fans should accept In This day and age. As to drinks and food queues, well I just think the half time period just isn’t long enough for the thousands who now want to get a drink and something to eat. The game has changed hugely and it’s not the 70s and 80s anymore when people never spent a penny inside a ground and would sometime piss on the spot!

#AVFC are investigating the issues supporters faced at Villa Park on Saturday. Some fans waited more than an hour to get to the turnstiles, while others were shocked to discover their new seats didn't even exist. Overflowing urinals and other problems are also being looked at.
