An Inferno of Failure - Maui Fires
To say the Government failed the people of Maui is an understatement. This was criminal neglect and more than likely, malfeasance. But before I get into that, let me say that my heart goes out to the people of Maui. I’ve tried to find the most reputable sources to donate to using a source that seems both reputable and grassroots, although at first I was promoting the red cross until I did more research. Even Go Fund me was warned against. I ended up using a source I found on a local news channel and I’ll post that but if anyone has any good grassroots donation efforts, please feel free to share them
Now, to the facts.
I previously reported a lack of effort to extinguish the flames, referencing a photograph of two men with a water hose. The NY Times reports that water sources were dried up, because of a number of factors. I find it interesting that seemingly before any fire fighting took place, the system was already depressurized and taped out. We have no reference of any fire fighting taking place unfortunately, and with drought conditions, the lack of foresight is criminally negligent.
I also reported that not a single siren went off. But I left out that Hawaii actually touted the largest alarm, about 400 in an extensive network, of which, there were 80 on Maui. Other forms of emergency alert systems were completely neglected as well. The power remained on despite violent winds in drought conditions, which again constitutes criminal neglect, if not malfeasance.
And Finally (for now), Monsanto and HSCo (aka: California and Hawaiian Sugar Company) owned much of the of the unmaintained dried out sugar fields and as far as my research has deduced, HSCo was producing highly flammable biofuels such as Sorghum.
Even if you buy their narrative, the implications are horrendous. Of course, I don’t. I think there were too many “coincidences” of failure from the government to draw any other conclusion than that this was either deliberate, or the worst case of Criminal Neglect ever perpetrated by corporate and government authorities and “professionals”. This should be an awakening of just how little protection this overreaching government safety infrastructure provides.
The very people who are now telling the residents of Maui that they can’t return to their homes as we speak are the people responsible for this tragedy.
