@juveriazaheer One of the most wonderful things about being your mentee Juveria is that I get to learn from you as you model all those human qualities that I aspire to more regularly enact in my life - grace, humility, humour, kindness and patience - on Jeopardy and every day. 🙏🙏

The #Jeopardy fan community can be absolutely extraordinary. Thank you SO much - it reminds me that all we owe is being the best versions of ourselves, and people will always surprise and delight us with their kindness ❤️❤️❤️

Any normal human wouldn’t dedicate half an hour to writing down their thoughts about the phrase “let you down” after a game of #jeopardy… Unfortunately for Juveria, I am not normal :)

The CCV online platform makes my blood boil. The absolute worst part of being a Canadian academic.

If you're like me and hate going to the mall, I highly recommend you go to the mall at 6:15 pm on Super Bowl Sunday.

@DrKeishaRay @hastingscenter One of my mentors once told me that you can consider yourself an expert in a topic when you can find a way to robustly explain it in language that a 10 year old can understand. I don’t know why grad school is preparing us to remain insulated and disconnected. We can do better.

@asantetalks This is the absolute joy of mentorship - seeing something in someone that they can't necessarily see for themselves or act upon... yet... But with time, patience, nurturance and commitment, a person in whom you see potential can become the person that you know they can be.

Two years ago a youth interviewed for a program I played a part in operating. They were on house arrest. We had to do a lot to support this young person, including letters of support (that got me in major trouble at work). They just texted me to say they got into law school. 😎

I hired Rachel to transcribe my focus group recordings and I cannot say enough good things about her and her work!! She’s fast, accurate, and includes de-identification. It takes so much weight off my shoulders as a researcher. HIGHLY recommend hiring her for your transcriptions!

@MaddieMierMD She’s annoyed that she’s still cleaning up after her cousin’s cat who was at her house like 3 weeks ago. She’s going to be visit her daughter soon and she’s contemplating what she’s going to read.

I used to think my fatal flaw was that I loved gossip. But I’ve discovered what I *actually* love is drama & gossip that has nothing to do with me or my people. Like, I want all the tea on people I don’t even know. And that, my friends, is why I will never quit twitter.

@anne_theriault Not sure if you're looking for suggestions, but buying a weighted blanket was a GAME CHANGER for me. My insomnia is 99% better - even if I wake up in the middle of the night, I am able to get back to sleep most of the time.
