@EUMidwives Thank you Mervi! I'm so glad I was able to do it, it has been something I've been working on with my own students and local unis but to be able to share it yesterday was amazing! We can't keep pretending that trauma doesn't exist, so we need to know how to safely manage it x

I was there Alicia thank you for presentation over all the years in clinical practice never heard anyone one giving us practical steps and support how to cope with traumatic experiences support is key so you do not spend nights thinking over & over events you had no control over

Today I had the privilege to talk to a wonderful group at the @MidwivesRCM @RCM_SMF student midwives conference about managing feelings of trauma in practice. Being able to use my lived experience of mental illness to educate and empower the future workforce feels so special 💜
