My debut novel is finally out! It’s about love, lies and memory thieves. Thanks to all who helped make it possible! Last Memoria probably isn’t like anything you’ve read before, so prepare for something gripping, dark and all kinds of twisted fun! #bookbuzz #indiepub #darkfantasy

@authorjla I shall henceforth read your tweets about Scottish independence as you verily venting your verbose vengeance upon the venal villains on your verge.

Am I the only author doing this these days? What with all the AI talk going on, every time I figure out something cool and unexpected for my stories, I glare at my laptop, thinking, beat that AI. 😏

@patricksamphire @morgankbell @Mike_Rayne But isn’t it the same as has been happening for ages with ghost writers? Popular authors using them and appearing to achieve incredible feats of writing that makes the normal seem slow. The problem isn’t the tool (ai/ghost writers), it’s the lack of regulation allowing the lie.

@triempery @Mike_Rayne @patricksamphire My question is has Amazon inserted a clause about data usage for AI yet in their T&Cs? Because you know when that one goes in, the writing industry’s in trouble. I actually wrote a short about it 7yrs ago. Alexa-generated bespoke audiobooks. Was somehow funny at the time…

@patricksamphire @Mike_Rayne I think it would suit me for sure! Beard aside though, I reached the same conclusion, only I call them Jazz authors because they’re not broad appeal enough to be mainstream, but captivating enough to support a niche industry, with fans who will go the extra mile in appreciation.

… you can add to the list. Obviously, this isn’t an attempt to twist the focus away from the damage inequality does to women. I just wonder if a new generation of feminism needs to emerge that draws a clearer narrative between equality for women equalling equality for men too.

… female relations suffer the effects of inequality in our society (sexual assault, domestic violence, murder to name but a few). 4) Fewer men going unsupported when they and their partner experiences a miscarriage/loss of a child. I’m sure there are plenty more examples…

How much more success would recent feminist movements have had by maintaining a stronger narrative of improving opportunity, choice and quality of life for men? Eg. 1) Reduction in male suicide through decreased pressure on men to be the providers for the family.
