Did the police take things too far? A high school band director named Johnny Mims was tased 3 times during a Minor High School band performance in Birmingham, Alabama. The band was taking part in what they call “The Fifth Quarter,” a segment after the game which many high schools and historical Black Colleges play music. Apparently the Birmingham City School District, which Minor High School is not a part of, had rules saying that everyone needs to leave immediately after the game. What do you think? Did the police go too far? Did the students really need to see all this?
