I notice some $289k is listed in the Tas Greens’ Annual Return as being from the Australian Greens, without further detail. I wonder at the ultimate source of this money #politas #fontcast
Cassy O'Connor🪲@CassyOConnorMLC

The Australian Electoral Commission donations disclosure returns are out for 23-24FY. #politas Liberals raked in $3.3M, declared the source of +/-$110G. Tas ALP took $2.2M, declared source of $172G. *$5 000 000+ to LibLabs cloaked in secrecy. It’s institutionalised bribery.

@mlmiai Anti-immigrationists: racist dog-whistling isn’t the answer. Housing is a human right for all. Govts need to end neg gearing and capital gains discounts, regulate Airbnb, stop construction monopolies, more public housing & tenants laws to stop bad conditions and rent increases.

Just queued with around forty others to view a small, two bed, $520 a week rental in nipaluna/Hobart. It had serious black mould issues in multiple rooms, cracked windows and a garden in its gutters. Our housing system is failing us. #politas

@dmflower Totally agree, I couldn’t believe it! We went to another inspection yesterday in WeHo that apparently also had about 20 groups attend the first inspection.

As they returned to Parliament today, we called on our MPs to take real climate action. We need strong emissions reductions plans and targets across sectors and an end to logging our precious carbon sinks, our native forests. #politas

As Parliament resumes, twenty environment and climate groups have banded together to call for real climate action. We need plans for emissions reductions across sectors and an end to the logging of our carbon-rich native forests. #politas

@BTSlowTravel Hi Bren, it’s really important to have an MP in the climate ministry, as it’s their responsibility to reduce emissions. We’re behind on this, e.g. in transport, and we need someone in Govt driving this to achieve commitments made.

In today’s Mercury, I criticise the Tas Govt's scrapping of climate change as a ministry. This is not the change that Tasmanians voted for. The Govt must listen to the people, and put real emissions reductions at the top of the agenda when Parliament resumes. #politas

The Tas Govt's removal of climate change as a Ministry shows blatant disregard for the urgent need for climate action. It leaves us as the only state apart from QLD without a minister for climate change. This is not the change that Tasmanians so clearly voted for. #politas

Consultation on the Tas Govt’s transport sector emission reductions plan closes next Wednesday 29 November. Climate Tasmania’s submission calls for greater commitments to climate action through policies which decarbonise the transport sector. #politas climatetasmania.org/tasmanias-tran…

In today’s Mercury I criticise the Tas Govt for its lack of climate action in transport sector emissions reduction. In the plan, we need an emissions reduction target, public transport, EV purchase price incentives and electrification of buses. Subs open til Nov 29. #politas

The Tas Govt’s transport decarbonisation plans show lack of commitment to climate action. In the final plan emissions reduction target, more public buses, EV purchase incentives and electrification of heavy vehicles like buses needed. Submissions open til Nov 29. #politas
