Statement from The Hostages and Missing Families Forum: We received with profound sorrow the news about the identification of Shlomo Mantzur, Tsachi Idan, Itzhak Elgarat, and Ohad Yahalomi of blessed memory who have been laid to eternal rest in Israel. Tsachi, Itzhak, and Ohad were kidnapped alive from their homes in Kibbutz Nahal Oz and Kibbutz Nir Oz and endured a prolonged period in Hamas captivity in Gaza.

For the baby who never had a birthday. For the little Batman. For their Mom.

Today alone, we had: •⁠ ⁠A funeral for murdered babies and their mother. •⁠ ⁠An announcement that Hamas will be delivering more fallen hostages. •⁠ ⁠A failed Hamas rocket launch that landed in Gaza. •⁠ ⁠A widely circulated video of a mass shooting Hamas committed against Gazans. And now, we have confirmation that four people we’d hoped were alive for so long are returning to Israel, only to be laid to rest. The mental toll of witnessing so many traumatic events in a single day is severe. It’s impossible for the human soul to even contain or process all of this.
