I've had to try and learn myself that death lies in banality. Accidents too. We risk so much for extremely small gains. We crash cars just because we couldn't wait to read a notification. But when you think about it, the trade deal is "I get to read this notification a few seconds earlier vs. I crash this car, maybe hurt myself and others and have to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars in repair". Exercise care. Especially when you're stressed. Running across the road because you're stressed or late for something is just never, ever worth it compared to what can happen.
