I’ve known Gravity Falls since I was 12, back when it was still airing on TV. Because of this show and because of Alex Hirsch I actually started drawing. Gravity Falls will always be an important part of my childhood. And I have a lot of respect for Alex and all the work he put into it. The show he created genuinely made my childhood better. ❤️

I see it sort of like this... 2012-2016: OG fans 2016-2022: Middle ground old fans 2023-Present: New fans I say 2022 is the cut off as that was when GF turned a decade old and around the time Alex began work on TBOB which spawned the current popularity wave.

I used to still see myself as a new Gravity Falls fan until I began seeing people mention how they joined the fandom when TBOB came out and realized that me joining in 2017 means I've been a fan for longer than GF was on air for...twice over!
