Return to school after Thanksgiving break and was reminded of all we are thankful for. I think we will keep adding to it these next three weeks. Thankful for my job. Thankful for my students. 🥰

"Coming Soon to Theaters Near You" was the theme of our book club finale. Students created movie posters for their books. Posters included quotes that represent themes or conflict, star-studded casts, tag lines to entice the viewers, reviews, and more. I'm obsessed!! @TISDOIS

These kids right here!! All three teams have made me extremely proud. They were constantly revising, reworking, listening to my blunt critiques, & pushing forward. The growth in just these few weeks alone inspires me. Amazing kiddos and the best coaches! 🥰 @TISDOIS

I'm snow proud of my little elves and the creative winter stories they wrote. They were true authors who planned, drafted, revised, and revised, and revised, and revised again before editing. Then, they illustrated and published beautiful picture books. So so proud 🥰 @TISDOIS

Weber's Open Mic 🎤 was poetically perfect!! Students shared personal poems, silly stanzas, and radically rhyming raps. It was all snaps!! I'm so proud of them. I could burst 💓 @TISDOIS @TISD_ELAR (Pics of poems coming soon!)

Our fiction review was as sweet as can be! These kiddos worked so hard. I'm extremely proud of them. Thank you parents for candy and decor!!

⚾️ How cool is your Superintendent? Well… our Region 4 Superintendent of the Year @m_salazarzamora throws out the honorary first pitch at tonight’s @astros game, and of course it’s a strike! #DestinationExcellence

Yesterday we sampled great books during our first room transformation of the year! Students were stuffed with titles they are hoping to check out soon. I "mustache" if you've read a good book lately?😉 @TISDOIS

After reading, "If I Built a House" by Chris Van Dusen to get our imagination going, students drew blue prints and floor plans of their dream house. Then they had to construct these houses out of 3D shapes. Fun houses for sure! @TISDOIS

Glow Games STAAR Review was a success!!! The kiddos are ready for Tuesday. A HUGE thank you to all the parents who provided games, decorations, and more!! I couldn't do it without you ❤️

Having a summer birthday, I never get to celebrate with students. So while Ms. May celebrated Beiber's bday, we celebrated my 3/4 birthday. And you thought only half birthdays were a thing 😆 I love my students!! (Partied too hard, missed group pics of 2 classes😕) @TISDOIS

After days of testing last week, Friday we played at the dog park! From Scooby snack shenanigans, Frisbee toss, pin the tail on the corgi, and flinging poop in the grass, we had a barking good time. What's your dog name?? @TISDOIS
