@ian4downton All children have a right to education including those with SEN needs. Are these the children you’re alluding to? The ones that can’t catch a bus and have an EHCP?

Outright ban taxis to schools. Immediately. Mandate that councils must offer bus only transport or personal travel budget capped at cost of bus. Give councils choice what to offer. Parents need to take responsibility.

@ASMU_Sendplight I wouldn’t put anything beyond them. They paid for my son to attend his provision for the three and a half years but told the provision he couldn’t go back because he needed a review and didn’t do one in all that time.

@LidlGB I've just sent it over. I have contacted you via email as well as on here and I haven't had a reply. Sent proof of purchase etc on the 10th. It's very poor service tbh especially as I shop at Lidl everyday.

@MartinSLewis I was disappointed to see no help being given to carers. They often give up work to look after loved ones and are struggling to make ends meet.

@GillianKeegan @TheBridgeMAT Please could you take a closer look at Devon County Council. Ignored my son for 4 years and failed to carry out an EHC review from 2018 until 2022. Then after an official complaint they ceased his plan. Nearly four years without an education and we’re not an isolated case.

@GillianKeegan I’d love to invite you to meet the parents at our children’s specialist provision. It’s an amazing place helping young people gain an education and independent living skills. We’re worried about proposed reforms and would love you to see what can be done under current legislation

I wonder how many of us give up at that point.

@ASMU_Sendplight From what I can tell the changes aren’t going to be good, when they start the sentence with ‘don’t worry but’ you know you need to worry! I personally suspect the backlog team are there just to do that, clear the backlog and cease as many plans as possible!

@lornski_b @ASMU_Sendplight We were out of school but back and waiting tribunal in August. Long story! From the way and tone the meeting has been called I don’t think it’s good news, no surprise there!

@Rachel_At_RFW @ASMU_Sendplight Ooh keep us informed. I've lost the will to live with DCC the child never comes first. Out of school since Feb and tribunal next Mar just before her 16th birthday.
