Today is my last day with the great @EYBuses team after 25 years. I'm sure a great future awaits under the leadership of @realbengilligan with the backing of @gonortheast & @TheGoAheadGroup . I will be taking a rest over Xmas & look forward to new challenges in 2021

@angus_young61 It would be interesting to see the capacity projection for Freetown Way / Spring Bank junction. From the design published it looks as though the capacity for cyclists has been increased at the expense of buses and general traffic. Junction capacity is the main driver of queuing

Heard a whisper that the latest cost estimate for the full works on Freetown Way (restoration of dual carriageway, separate cycle lanes, Bev Rd/Spring Bank junction upgrade) is around the £13m mark. Current approved scheme budget: £7.6m 🧵

Almost 30 @EYBuses electric buses are about to begin operating on routes across #Hull from potentially as soon as next week. It’s a partnership with the two councils and the DfT. @StagecoachEMid are soon to introduce theirs too

@northernassist I have tried to book a ticket from Beverley to Newcastle on 28 Feb. Your app shows every train as sold out. If you look at the LNER website tickets are available on every train. You will lose sales

The 2 hours 13 minutes journey time would see the train travel the 205 miles at an average point to point speed of nearly 92.5 mph with a top cruising speed of 125 mph. The southbound non-stop run at 0857 is due to take just 2 hours 15 minutes. 2/2

@EYFillingham Spot on Stuart. Too much time table planning seems to be avoiding VOSA issues, rather than times that are attractive to customers

Most Great Western Railway intercity trains cancelled today. In northwest England, Northern has axed all trains on nine routes. “The underlying reason is train crew availability, in particular on Sundays which is contractually outside of the working week.” independent.co.uk/travel/news-an…

@EYFillingham Things don't change. All the BSIPs and EBP are not worth the paper they are printed on, if the council are not prepared to get a grip on basic traffic management.
