2009's winner, the Pixel Hotel by Metro 1 Properties, was one of the first 'pod hotel' concepts to come about. It's model deconstructed the traditional hotel typology and scattered, or 'pixelated' rooms directly within a city core; This project was based in Linz, Austria.
