My advice for Capcom is to not remove the Resident Evil Generation Pack on Switch 2 in three days. It's currently #9 on the eShop (US) while the standard edition is 16th. It's the way Switch 2 owners want to buy into Resident Evil.

@Dimitroidd @FerrisWheelPro @Stealth40k Not once you've started playing the save file. It's not intuitive just like the wall jumping and the different buttons for diagonal aiming. The point is Super Metroid could definitely use some quality of life adjustments.

Regardless if this rumor is true, I think a remake of Super Metroid is actually a good idea. You haven't been able to buy a physical version of Super Metroid since 1994. If you want to play the original, it's available on Switch online, but I think a remake, if done right, would be very compelling.

@Stealth40k If these rumors aren't true it's really bad for business.

Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft have all had their problems with leaks of major 1st party games. I don't think much can be done. Certainly if it's all true, Nintendo isn't happy people know about Star Fox, the Ocarina of Time Remake or 3D Mario.

@Drtre81 Is there any proof whatsoever that this remake is real? It would have to be more than just better graphics and a modern control scheme.

This is something I always felt was coming but didn't want to get people's hopes up.

He drops BOMBS here. While he dampers any expectation of a general direct until Summer... there are BANGERS in here. Nintendo has a strategy and if everything he said is true, 2026 second half is going to be epic. I'll talk more on this stuff in a video later today.

After testing 1.2.0, I can confirm that the Frame Rate is Fixed in the Switch 2 version of Resident Evil Requiem. 😎 No more frame skipping in Cutscenes, and no more odd frame stutters that started happening in patch 1.1.1. FPS is also more stable overall. Thank you Capcom! 🤘

@NateTheHate2 I don't believe you. The Switch 2 hardware leaks were easy because of the manufacturers outside of Nintendo but internal leaks like this are way harder to happen unless once again a studio outside of Nintendo is working on the game.
