Aquathlon On Monday Amelia, Rose and Grace all took park in the SY Tri Darwin Challenge Aquathon which required them to swim 200m and run 1km. They all completed the challenge. Amazing achievement displaying your Radbrook Darwin Values. Congratulations girls.

Football celebration What a fantastic opportunity for Radbrook U11 boys to be able to take part in the, U11 school final against Redhill, on Sunday at the Shrewsbury Town . They played really well and received a runners up medal presented by the chairman of Shropshire FA.

Radbrook Readers What a super Reading club this week. We decided to take our books and read outside in the beautiful sunshine. We were joined by Ruby on her first day in school and she settled in well 🥰

Year 5 are having the best time at Laches Wood residential, Canoeing, climbing.

Concluding the mini-police officer roadshow, Deputy PCC Marc Bayliss has congratulated competition winners Harriet and Sophia, from Radbrook Primary School in Shropshire, and awarded them with a mini-police officer 👍

In KS1 as part of book week, we have been looking at the book 'The Leaf Thief.' The children discussed what they could use leaves for. During a Forest School session, creating leaf art. The children were excited after the visit of The doodle boy & created their own doodle art.

Year 3/4 have been looking at kennings this week, we have been outside to listen to birds and watch them so get inspiration for our English work. We will be carrying on our poetry work next week to write kennings about British wildlife.

Fire safety at Radbrook Key Stage 2 had a visit from two Firefighters and their Fire Engine! The children have been learning all about fire safety and firstly they listened to a talk from the Firefighters. Then, they had a full tour of the different parts of the fire engine.

The children really enjoyed a visit from Joe Whale, aka The Doodle boy today. A marvellous way to celebrate book day. 👊🏼👌🏽✒️🖌️🖋️🖊️

What a busy week it was for Radbrook Primary School last week. We had our first ever Year 2 Maths Learning Cafe. It was a great turn out with parents & grandparents. This Thursday, the Year 1 Phonics Learning Cafe will be happening. Book your space through the school gateway.

National Story Telling Week This week is National Story Telling Week and it has been wonderful for us here at Radbrook Primary School to be part of this joyous event that celebrates the power of sharing stories.

A great football match played at Meole Brace Primary, 29th Nov, between Radbrook Primary School & Long mountain school in the Semi Final County Cup Football tournament. Our boys scored 6 goals to win and go through to the final. Congrats boys, a great achievement.

We had a visit this afternoon from the gorgeous Ernie thanks to Puppy and Friends Academy He showed the children: 🫲 How to touch and interact with a Therapy Dog 😢 How Ernie interrupts emotions such as crying. The children loved meeting him!

This morning, a group of children from year 5/6 represented Radbrook Primary School at Shrewsbury Rugby Club. They played several Tag Rugby games against other Schools from around Shropshire. The children really enjoyed themselves and worked really hard. 👊🏼 Well done!

Mr Taylor and our amazing Year 6 sports ambassadors have been running events for all children across the school this week. We were so proud of the Year 6s who organised, demonstrated and supported the other children really well.

Yesterday we had a very exciting visit from Radbrook Ruby. Mrs Thelwell brought in her puppy to meet the children, they all loved the experience.
