One really effective way to accept where you are, #pelvicpain symptoms and all, so you can start calming down your nervous system, is to start reminding yourself that it’s just “For Now.” It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in pain, you’re not going to be in pain forever.

Our inclination is to run from uncomfortable sensations. You want to allow the uncomfortable sensations and be present with them. To counteract your instinct to run, start by choosing to bring your attention into your body. Take some nice gentle breaths into your low belly.
