Small but mighty! @UccDeptMed MIRT academics have 24 presentation @myESR #ECR2023 including invited talk, presentations & posters. Plus we are running 3 experiments. Not to mention our Senior Lecturer is the PRESIDENT of the @EFRadiographerS Unbelievable! What a team!! @UCC

Minister @DonnellyStephen has confirmed a HSCP role is being created in the @roinnslainte and will be advertised shortly. AOTI along with our colleagues in the HSCPA have been advocating for a Chief HSCP Officer in the Department in recent years. We welcome this development.

While we seem to be some time away from practice like this fantastic initiative by radiographers @nhsuhcw , it does show the possibilities that are there for Irish radiographers as we move forward with advanced practice to deliver more streamlined and efficient patient services

Disappointing to see that the ESRI did not include figures for radiographers in their projections. Invaluable in strategic planning on a national basis in a profession already suffering with recruitment and retention issues.

While report looked at select group of @WeHSCPs it unfortunately doesnt appear to have looked at diagnostic staff such as Radiographers, Clinical Measurement Physiologists or Med Lab Scientists for example but cannot imagine any different. Need robust workforce plan for all prof
