Congratulations re your decision to enter the world of politics, not that I'll ever take such a path but I can relate to the reason why you're doing it. When you said I'm a grandfather who deeply cares about what type of country his grandchildren will grow up in it took my thoughts to my polite online activities re our extremely serious climate change problems, I make the effort of behalf of all our future loved ones as yet to come. I feel that they'll be deserving a fair go re how they be spending their time on earth, in so many ways whether or not they get that fair go is up to us (our generations). To be honest about it I's hoping we'd be further along re our efforts to address our earth problems at this point in time, sadly it'll be all our future loved ones as yet to come that'll have to live with the consequences of it all if we don't address our climate change problems in a genuine way. If you don't mind me asking will trying to address our climate change problems be a priority for you if you're successful in the upcoming midterms? Personally I feel its very important that our "public representatives" take a fairly proactive approach re their efforts to ensure that folk are being "appropriately informed" re how serious a situation we're in re climate change, it'd go a long way towards helping folk make "informed choices" re how they'll be getting involved re our efforts to address climate change.
