The past month has been extremely busy for us. A lot of internal training sessions. A lot of team development. A lot of rebuilding systems while the platform keeps changing. At the same time, the storm is still not over. Many people are still dealing with AdSense account disabling, monetization issues, and uncertainty around what YouTube will enforce next. But there are also good signals. Some channels that were previously demonetized for “Inauthentic Content” have suddenly been monetized again. That tells me the system is still adjusting, and not every decision is necessarily permanent. Another important signal is that Google is now marking which videos are AI-generated or AI-altered, and which ones are not. To me, this does not mean YouTube is banning AI content. It means YouTube wants more transparency. The real problem is not AI itself. The problem is people using AI to mass-produce low-value content and dump trash onto the platform. AI is just a tool. If you use it to improve research, production speed, storytelling, editing, translation, or workflow, it can be powerful. But if you use it to produce lazy, repetitive, low-effort content at scale, eventually the platform will push back. The lesson is simple: Don’t be afraid of AI. Be afraid of building content that has no real value.
