The second reading to approve the bill to execute Palestinians inside Israeli prisons has just begun, with the presence of almost every Israeli top official.
Expected to go ahead without any real opposition, hundreds of Palestinians will be hung in the first phase soon. Many others will face the same fate later if finally approved.
Here’s my explainer and call on people to protest this horrifying law.

Marjorie Taylor Greene’s amendment does nothing to cut off offensive aid to Israel nor end the flow of US munitions being used in Gaza. Of course I voted against it. What it does do is cut off defensive Iron Dome capacities while allowing the actual bombs killing Palestinians to continue. I have long stated that I do not believe that adding to the death count of innocent victims to this war is constructive to its end. That is a simple and clear difference of opinion that has long been established. I remain focused on cutting the flow of US munitions that are being used to perpetuate the genocide in Gaza.

let me show you every country that looked America in the eye and said the same thing..
Vietnam 1965.. "we will fight until the last man".. America bombed them for 10 years.. deployed 500,000 troops.. spent $840 billion.. and left in 1975 with nothing..
Afghanistan 2001.. the Taliban told reporters "we are patient.. you are not".. America stayed for 20 years.. spent $2.3 trillion.. and flew out of Kabul in the middle of the night in 2021..
Iraq is still burning.. Libya is still split in two..
the United States has more aircraft carriers than the next 10 countries combined.. spends more on defense than the next 9 nations put together..
and hasn't won a land war on someone else's soil since 1945..
so when Iran says "we'll decide when this ends"..
they're not making a threat..
they're quoting a pattern that nobody in Washington wants to say out loud...

AIEF - the American Israel Education Fund - is the non-profit arm of AIPAC. AIEF is the organization that bankrolls Congress members' all-expense paid trips to Israel. These trips can cost over $20,000 per member and representatives can bring spouses and staff - and all of them stay in luxury accommodations.
These are known as in-kind contributions: no cash is exchanged, but a gift of substantial worth is given in the form of a "service' - in this case, a luxury vacation for an elected representative and their spouse and staff - thinly veiled as an educational experience.
Congress is banned from accepting vacations from any lobby group or foreign agent, but since AEIF is a 501(c)3 non-profit and technically not a lobvy group, they get away with it. AIPAC is the lobby group and registers under a different tax structure. And because AEIF is located in the United States, they don't have to register as foreign agents, despite their coordination with the Israeli government.
It's a scam.
Any talk of banning AIPAC funding needs to also include gifts or in-kind donations from AIEF.
