@cowgirl_bebop One thing I love about Homelander is his relationship with Butcher, given how similar they are—products of a society that raised them on extreme violence. There are many themes of generational trauma and toxic masculinity that are passed down from generation to generation.

The thing I like the most about The Boys is instead of writing Homelander as relatively flat and evil just for the sake of being evil so the heroes have something to do, the show explores WHY Homelander is that way. He's a monster that was literally and figuratively manufactured.
