@RetroChaman Te puedo decir que me enfurece de esta situacion, es que la prensa se quito la mascara y estan mostrando cuales son los juegos que ellos quieren que sean los populares, en contraste de cuando sacan articulos difamatorios a los juegos que obligan al jugador a tratar de ser habil

Mi problema es cuando critican cosas como Crimson Desert por ser muy complicado, o a algun Souls por ser muy dificil o a Pragmata por apelar al sentimentalismo

No deberías disfrutar de ese juego. Si a mí no me gusta, no le puede gustar a nadie. No tenéis ni idea de videojuegos. ¡Por favor, dejad de disfrutar y hacedme caso!

Gaming was never art to begin with. It started as pure entertainment high scores, skill, competition, late nights in front of a CRT with your buddies yelling at the screen. It was a subculture for people who actually played, not some pretentious experience designed by a committee to make you “feel things on schedule.” The second someone starts preaching that “VIDEOGAME IS ART” and “you experience it exactly how the devs want,” they out themselves instantly as a tourist gamer. They’re the ones buying into the mass-market AAA slop, the cinematic trailers, the walking simulators dressed up as profound statements. They don’t actually play games they consume polished products made for the widest possible audience. Real gamers don’t need some critic or developer patting them on the head telling them they’re engaging with “culture.” We just play. We grind, we break the mechanics, we mod it, we speedrun it, we shit-talk in lobbies. That’s it. Calling it art doesn’t elevate gaming it exposes you as someone who only ever dipped their toe into the mainstream, tourist version of it. You’re not a real gamer. You’re just another casual who swallowed the marketing and now wants to feel deep about pressing X to pay respects. It’s embarrassing.

@razgriiz I have no problem with people saying that video games are art; it just depends a lot on the opinion and reception of the players themselves, on what the game in question evokes in us,whether we're fascinated by the challenges, the graphics, the music, the story, or the characters

Everything now panders to the normies super sanitized, politically correct, hyper-respectful slop that has zero connection to the original culture that made gaming great in the first place. Back in the day it was pure violence, raw sexuality, unfiltered fun, and zero apologies. No lectures, no forced ideology, no corporate messaging trying to “fix” us. It was chaotic, artistic, and free. Now? It feels like that entire era is gone forever. I’m not even sure we can ever reclaim it. And honestly… that’s just f!cking sad.
