@CultureCrave @Bloomberg They should spin off Double Fine Compulsion Games Double fine has unique/niche games. Really enjoyed psychonauts and Brutal Legend. Haven't had a chance to play the Compulsion games library. They look great. Save the studios.

@CultureCrave @Bloomberg Three studios that made great games that's didn't sell well. You can't continue to fund a studio if their games don't sell. Simple as that.

@RinoTheBouncer @InsiderGamingIG Compulsion games and Double Fine most likely, double fine made Psychonaughts 2 in 2021 and have come out with a lighthouse game nobody played and a clay pottery sculpting game nobody played. Compulsion made South of Midnight which I enjoyed as a story but the gameplay was abysmal

@alonna_lee I absolutely hated the movie, ive never felt so let down leaving a theatre. That being said. You shouldn't belittle people for their taste in art. I just think people are so mad about it (like me) that they can't believe people actually enjoyed it lol.

Can somebody explain to me why there is a trove of people who are actually hard core hating on Disclosure Day? And calling people stupid for enjoying it? I’m genuinely confused about this. I thought the movie was amazing.

@soybrandoffon It's a masterclass in modern filmmaking -Tell, don’t show -Bland, boring action sequences -Characters logical in one scene, inbred in the next -Too many ppl and side stories -Cliche showdown as if only the last 15 minutes count -soundtrack so weak -filmmaker surrounded by yes-men

@RageReviewYT @HowDareYouSir_ @ScottDMenzel I have. "EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE." First time I saw people leave the theater and not come back with snacks. Looked at my wife, and she said, "Is this movie the dumbest thing we've ever watched?" I said, "Whew! I thought it was me just not getting it." We bolted.

Disclosure Day is one of the strangest movies that I’ve seen in a while. At its best, it feels like classic Spielberg magic dating back to Close Encounters and ET. At its worst, it had me questioning every creative decision being made. The scene where Emily Blunt throws her cell phone out the car window was straight out of an Ed Wood movie and I cannot believe it made it into the final cut of the film. What a truly bizarre experience. My audience let out a huge groan at the end. #DisclosureDay

@nipponsteel @RichardMRaine @SecretSunBlog As far as alien movies go there's shoestring budget alien movies more compelling than this pos. I accept the direction it wanted to go, but it did it so poorly. Take civil war for example. Don't see too much war but the journey is worth while and the payoff is decent.

@RageReviewYT @RichardMRaine @SecretSunBlog Same here. After and hour an a half of a dull chase scene I gave up and left. There was absolutely nothing story-wise to keep me watching. Some people are happy just watching car chases sprinkled with a dime store UFO framework. Ask yourself, did this film seem REAL like CE3K?

@RageReviewYT @CleGuardians330 The way you are describing Disclosure Day is what I would expect from a Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 review. If you think those are the same level of filmmaking craft, you might need to educate yourself on cinema.

I was honestly looking forward to seeing this movie. Now I'm rethinking it and wil probably wait for streaming. Is it really as bad as everyone is saying?
DesertThrottleDiaries@DesertDiaries

I watched this, so you don’t have to. Spielberg’s Disclosure Day is a bloated, embarrassing mess that squanders every ounce of goodwill from his past alien films. He used to make great films - I’m pretty sure he just phoned this one in. At two and a half hours it drags like a corpse through a desert of empty chases and half-baked conspiracy nonsense. Daniel steals alien files from some secret government outfit, goes on the run with his girlfriend, while meteorologist Margaret suddenly develops psychic powers from a bird and starts babbling alien gibberish on live TV. They team up with whistleblowers to broadcast the “truth” and stop World War III. The plot is flimsy and predictable, recycling every tired government-cover-up trope without tension or surprise. Scenes lurch forward then stall. Characters hide, get chased, hide again. Antagonists miss obvious chances to shut things down. The big “Disclosure Day” climax arrives with all the impact of a wet fart. some grainy footage, a couple speeches, and then… nothing. The promised revelation is anticlimactic garbage. The writing is worse. Dialogue is stiff, hokey, and endlessly preachy. Characters deliver long, polished monologues about empathy, truth, and humanity’s place in the universe instead of actually doing or feeling anything. It’s the kind of fake profundity that makes you check your watch. Koepp’s script trips over its own explanations and leans on contrivances that don’t hold up for five minutes. The CGI is outright shameful. The film’s central visual idea involves animals tied to the aliens, and those creatures look like cheap video game assets…stiff, obvious, and completely immersion-breaking. They yank you out of whatever thin atmosphere the movie manages to build. For a Spielberg production in 2026 this is pathetic. Characters are barely there. Josh O’Connor’s Daniel is a blank reactor with no personality. Emily Blunt tries hard but can’t sell the psychic meteorologist savior nonsense. Colin Firth feels miscast as the villain. Side players exist only to deliver exposition or get conveniently out of the way. Nobody feels real or worth caring about. It’s bad. Skip it.
