@cvpayne I really dont think so @cvpayne. Depends on what is being destroyed? I think theres parity now, more than ever. Yes the big schools are having more trouble winning easily. Basketball one and done was the norm nobody cared.

Well said. If you live in a decent sized town I refuse to believe it’s necessary to travel for games for kids under high school age. There are plenty of teams to play in your city.

@ClayTravis You are correct and if you need an airbnb we have it for you. CASV is like disney for the kids. Smiles everywhere. Its awesome!

Now if you want to travel for a trip a year because it’s fun — Cooperstown for 12 year olds is definitely worth it, for instance — I get that. But some of these teams are on the road every weekend all over the country. It’s crazy.

@ClayTravis If you are truly good enough to play college ball and arent on a travel team the coaches find you. Most kids dont get missed very often. Next level coaches want to win they will recruit anywhere at any time.

@ClayTravis @WSJ Colleges have started recruiting travel teams more than high schools. It'll cost about $6k/yr for my granddaughter to play club soccer to be seen by D1 coaches. Travel clubs want her because of her D1 potential. She's in 8th grade and has been on HS Varsity for 2 yrs.

Development means something. The mature talented freshman are getting recruited. Late bloomers are not never were. #develope!

@ClayTravis @realDonaldTrump It starts with coaches recruiting and sitting players to back build. Then as a freshman comes in replaces that kid who cant leave and cant get on the field as time keeps ticking. Then coaches recruit players commit and coach leaves at anytime.

90% of the transfer portal is teams letting guys they overpaid leave for other teams so they can overpay the players the other teams are letting leave. It’s just one big musical chairs of mediocrity.

@953WDAE Hes a good guy. Dont know if hes a head coach at minimum I think he proved he cant call defensive plays at the same time as running the whole team. Not easy to do. Defense sadly was horrible this year for some reason.
